Sophia Bielsky

Director

Sophia brings extensive experience in building affirming communities and championing belonging to this role. She holds a BA in English and a minor in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Montana State University, where she gained teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant. Sophia co-founded the Inclusive Outdoors Project, where she created accessible outdoor programming and forged strategic community partnerships. Her professional experience includes facilitating leadership and community-building workshops, developing organizational assessment tools, and implementing sustainable, culturally responsive practices. A dedicated Bozeman resident who values lifelong learning, Sophia is passionate about building supportive communities where every student can flourish.

Abby Rodi

Abby was born and raised in Montana and holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Montana State University, where she conducted research on feminist art and its modernist and postmodern implications in challenging social gender norms. She is passionate about cultivating empathetic and welcoming communities where belonging is valued and individuality is celebrated. In her role at the Student Commons, Abby works to create supportive spaces and programs rooted in connection, curiosity, and fun!

Outside of MSU, you can find her performing stand-up comedy locally and across Montana, writing music, or binge-watching reality dating shows.

Eden

Eden Morin

Graduate Student Assistant

Eden MaliaMae Morin is a dedicated graduate assistant at Montana State University, currently pursuing her master’s degree in counseling. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in communication from the University of Montana. Eden has always had a deep passion for understanding and supporting people, which has naturally guided her academic and professional pursuits.
With a strong commitment to mental health and well-being, Eden is focused on creating meaningful connections and fostering inviting environments. Her work is driven by a genuine desire to make a positive impact, particularly in rural and underserved communities.
When she’s not immersed in her studies or assisting on campus, Eden enjoys spending time outdoors with loved ones and animals, as well as attending music festivals to recharge.

Student Ambassadors

The Ambassadors completea variety of tasks to support the mission of the Student Commons, which is to increase understanding, promote inclusion, and inspire critical thinking about diversity. These studentsvolunteer 5 hours a week which consists of table events, meeting with current and prospective students, attending weekly staff meetings, exploring identity via training opportunities and keeping the office staffed throughout the workday.
