What Are Food Security Scholarships?

The Food Security Scholarship awards a 25-pass commuter meal plan to eligible students which can be used at the MSU dining halls across campus. If you are a student with barriers to accessing enough nutritious food, please consider applying.

How to Apply

Applications for the Fall 2024 Food Security Scholarship closed on August 28th at 11:59 PM. Keep an eye on your inbox for more correspondence about the status of your application in the coming weeks.

FAQs 

Due to application processing time, students are typically notified of awards about 1/3 of the way into the semester. Award notifications come via email.

No, the passes are only valid for the semester in which you recieve them and cannot carry over. 

Yes! You can "Swipe-In" a friend or family member, just as you would with a regular meal pass. 
Yes! You can apply once per semester.
If students are already recieving the maximum allowable financial aid award, they are inelligible to recieve this scholarships as it would put them over the maximum threshold according to Montana State Univeristy Policy.
