Assitant Professor - ME

  • The Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering at Montana State University invites applications for one full-time tenure track position in Mechanical Engineering (ME). Primary responsibilities are in teaching, research, and service/outreach. The successful candidate will become an integral part of the department. Duties will include teaching courses in ME, developing a nationally recognized, externally funded research program, working on curriculum development, and participating in professional/service activities.

Other responsibilities include advising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, participating in accreditation activities and committee assignments, and providing service to the University, State, and profession.

  • Mechanical & Industrial Engineering faculty members are expected to contribute to excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching in areas of mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering technology or industrial engineering related to the applicant’s strengths. Other responsibilities include advising and mentoring undergraduate students, participation in accreditation activities and committee assignments, and service to the university, state, and profession.
