Founders Day Student Awards
This award recognizes amazing students at Montana State who have strong records of achievement in academics, extracurricular activities, and service to the University and the Bozeman (or their local) community, while also considering those students whose perseverance, determination and grit, help them stand out.
Please carefully review and ensure your nominee meets the following criteria:
- Undergrad nominees must have 90 or more completed credits by the spring semester of the award year.
 - Graduate nominees must have completed 3/4 or 75% of their program credits by the spring semester of the award year.
 - Gallatin College nominees must have completed at least 50% of the curriculum in a 1- or 2-year workforce development program.
 - Nominees must be enrolled in classes during spring semester of the award year.
 - Nominees must have at least a cumulative grade point average of 3.0.
 - Nominees must be a first-time recipient of a Founders Day Student Award
 - Consideration will be given for an established record of campus and/or community engagement.
 - Consideration will be given for an exceptional success story.
 
Please give due diligence to your nominee's story of success, perseverance and grit while attending Montana State University. This dearly held tradition at MSU focuses on the exceptionally unique quality of our students, and we will be looking for those characteristics in nominee submissions.
