Human Resources Employee & Labor Relations Relocation: Swingle Annex
Description of Request
Submitted By: Elizabeth Bradley
Human Resources Employee & Labor Relations requested space to consolidate their team of five employees, who are currently dispersed across several campus locations. With one remote employee retiring in November and a new on-campus hire forthcoming, the unit requires a private office for the new staff member and co-located space for the full team to improve collaboration and efficiency. This request has been active for several years, awaiting suitable space. Space Planning staff have identified an opportunity within Suite 210 on the second floor of Swingle Annex that would accommodate all five staff members, provide material storage, and allow for a small flexible meeting area within room 210 or 210F. The team would also have access to the shared conference and meeting rooms in 200 and 201. The relocation will vacate the current space in the Renne Library basement and allow the Chief Human Resources Officer to move from Nopper to Montana Hall 211E, with a flex office maintained in 211A for HR staff who serve units in the building. The workstation in 211C would also be vacated. To create additional separation between Human Resources and nearby occupants, including Campus Civil Rights and the Office of Disability Services, a door and partition wall will be installed at the entrance to Suite 210.
