Representatives from local STEM industry (specifically Quantum and photonics-related industries) have expressed interest in being more involved in education and outreach activities of QCORE and MSUs overall. Some are passionate personally, having been impacted by a STEM educator, experience or mentor as a young person. Others see the need for their business and its employees to give back to the community. They also have the foresight to see that students and teachers we engage now will help buld the workforce of tomorrow.

How you and your business can support the
next generation of STEM professionals

Open to local quantum and photonics-related industry representatives

  • Limited to 15 participants
  • Free to attend
  • Led by education and outreach professionals from QCORE's workforce development team in the MSU Science Math Resource Center
  • Topics include:
    • Explore your own "STEM story." What brought you to your STEM-related career?
    • Learn about existing outreach and workforce development support through QCORE and how you can participate as an individual or a business
    • Explore ways to improve or start offering meaningful tours and visits, internship or externship opportunities
    • Learn about opportunities and methods for outreach in the community through public events or school visits
    • Meet other like-minded professionals and brainstorm new opportunities
