If adding personnel to an IBC protocol, all the requirements in Step 1 and Step 2

must be completed before advancing to Step 3

PI to ensure training completion and review IBC protocol with onboarding personnel
All requirements listed in Step 1 must be completed for IBC protocol approval to be granted
PI submits an amendment to add personnel to IBC protocol

**Protocol amendment will be Returned for Modification if Step 1 is incomplete

Step 4
Laboratory Requirements for all Personnel	Information
Read MSU Biosafety Manual Read and sign Laboratory Specific Biosafety Manual (review annually) Read and understand Pathogen Safety Data Sheets Document lab-specific training (template found in Appendices of Laboratory Specific Biosafety Manual)	Biosafety Program

For Biosafety trainings, taking either the In-Person or the applicable CITI trainings will fulfill the requirement.
