Students living in the West Side Houses, Paisley Court, McIntosh Court, and Branegan Court, who are planning to be away from their homes for longer than 24 hours during cold weather months (October through March), must notify University Student Housing.
- During cold weather months, University Student Housing staff will verify heat is in working condition to prevent freeze-ups, by keying into the units.
- If no such notice is given and heat is not maintained in the unit, the student will be held responsible for damage occurring from freeze ups.
Tenants: Please leave your heat set to 65 degrees when you leave. We will enter your unit to check the heat while you are gone, depending on temps. If you leave later or return sooner, please call us at 406-994-2661 or email us at housing@montana.edu so that we don’t check your unit unnecessarily.
