I'm thrilled to be part of your journey at MSU. With 35 years of diverse leadership experience, I'm here to guide you in mastering the art of communication, teamwork, and effective presentations. My goal is to help you excel in your academic and professional endeavors, whether acing that interview or leading a successful project.  In addition to my work as a Bracken Center Coach, I teach multiple sections of BGEN 104.

Before joining the MSU team in 2021, I retired from a career that spanned many roles in government, from managing billion-dollar economic development projects to leading high-performing teams to next-gen initiatives to law enforcement to work with governments from Afghanistan, Ukraine, and Moldova.  I've learned the importance of clear communication and strategic thinking in every service aspect.  I have a bachelor's, a MPA, and I graduated from the Harvard Kennedy School Senior Executives program.

Beyond campus, I run Summit Leadership Strategies, focusing on leadership development, emotional intelligence, negotiations, and economic development. These experiences enrich my coaching, allowing me to offer you a blend of real-world insights.

When I'm not coaching, teaching, or consulting, you'll find me embracing the Montana lifestyle with my family. I've been married for 35 years, and my wife works in MSU Admissions.  We have a daughter who graduated from MSU and works on campus while attending grad school. I'm an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fly fishing, hiking, Nordic skiing, and wildlife photography—and I love sharing stories about the beautiful Yellowstone wildlife.
