Student Fees Breakdown
For the 2025-2026 Academic year, students taking 7 credits or more are assessd a $83.50 ASMSU Fee each semester per Student Accounts at University Business Services.
The ASMSU Fee includes: ASMSU activity fee, transportation fee, student organization fee, sustainability fee, student press fee, and student leadership fee.

The Associated Students of Montana State University (ASMSU) Fees are mandatory fees charged to students registered for seven (7) credits or more. Payment of the ASMSU Fees entitles the student to participation in ASMSU student government and use of day care facilities, legal aid, and other sponsored activities.
If you are enrolled in fewer than 7 credits and wish to opt in to the ASMSU Activity Fee to access these services, please visit the Student Accounts Office located in 121 Montana Hall.
The ASMSU Activity fee is budgeted in the Spring of each year for the following academic year. This fee provides forthe operation of the student government and its programs and committees. They also support our sponsored programs: KGLT Radio, ASMSU Preschool, Off-Campus Student Life, and ASMSU Legal Services - see more information below.
