English Literature 

The literature option is for students who wish to specialize in literary and cultural studies, especially those preparing for a broad range of careers in which the skills of textual analysis, writing and communication are important.

Literature – B.A. in English, Literature Emphasis

The Department of English at Montana State University offers a rich and challenging program taught by award-winning scholars devoted to student success. Literature from various eras and cultures, especially British and American literatures, both canonical and emergent, shape the undergraduate English experience. Students will develop critical thinking, reading and writing skills that will prepare them for a number of careers or graduate fields.

The English major at Montana State offers two  other Options Within a Major: English Teaching and Writing.
